Coach Bryan Abernathy will be your social studies and Science teacher this year.  This year in social studies will study the geography, economics, government and history of S.W. Asia, Africa, South Asia and S.E. Asia.  In science, we will be studying life science which includes the study of cells, body systems, DNA and biomes.  It is important that you be prepared each day and bring a good attitude to class.   

This is Coach Abernathy’s 15th year in education.  He graduated from Cass High School in Cartersville, Georgia and earned a basketball scholarship to play at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee.  Coach Abernathy earned his Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama and is currently pursuing an Educational Specialists Degree in Teaching and Learning.   Coach Abernathy coaches both boys basketball teams and also is an assistant football coach.  Coach Abernathy is married to the former Pam Sexton.  They have a 6 year old son named Jaxon and a 4 year old girl named Maggy Bryn.

Coach Abernathy enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, the outdoors, and ALABAMA FOOTBALL!!!!  Roll Tide Roll!!!!!!
