Join us as we celebrate our Tradition of Excellence! To honor this special milestone, Calhoun City Schools will host a reunion band during pregame on October 12th. The current band, along with former Marching Yellow Jackets, will perform the Fight Song under the direction of Mr. Harold Summerville.
We invite any and all former band members to join us for this wonderful event! Break out that horn, baton, or flag and get ready! Even if you no longer have an instrument flag, or baton…we will want you to join us on the field to honor one of Calhoun City’s greatest traditions! We will supply detailed information as the event nears and we determine the actual number of participants.

110th Reunion Band Tips
The performance night is October 12th/Pre-Game Show. The exact performance time will be announced at a later date. We have to coordinate with other pre-game activities. The deadline for registration has been extended until September 19th.
Once registration forms have been submitted, a data base will be created for future use. An e-mail distribution list will also be created so that direct contact can be made easily with detailed instructions about the event. We hope to be able to use the information collected to create a program insert to be passed out at the gate that evening.
We will have the Calhoun Middle School gym open and will meet there prior to the game (we will open the gym at 5:00). We will have the gym set up for people to gather and fellowship and will also live stream the game in via internet in case you would like to watch the game from there.
We will wear the band reunion t-shirts on the field. Everyone will need a shirt to participate. $10 covers the cost of the shirt...the other $10 goes for extras such as the program insert and gym set up. Any remaining funds will be used to support the band program at CHS.
Most people have shared that they are not interested in playing or actually performing, they just want to be on the field. That is just fine! What we would LOVE to see is a field FULL of people to show how much we all love our band!!! Please spread the word to get others to register!
Majorette and Guard videos are now posted to YouTube. Search for Michelle Frix Knight. (Sorry....I also have videos of my daughter poster on my page-ha.) I will continue to add more band videos so keep a check on the site. Harold Summerville will be directing us in the Fight Song, but we want all former drum majors to join in along the sideline. Once we see how many people we have to work with, I will share info regarding how we will all line up and be placed on the field.
At this time (9/6/12), we only have about 45 forms that have been submitted. I know that we have MANY more out there that want to show their support for the Marching Yellow Jackets...so....SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!
